A life without risks, in my opinion, is boring. Yet, when you think about it, we take risks everyday without even realizing it. To say living a “safe life” is not for me is a complete understatement. I have gotten to where I am in life by simply taking risks day in and day out.
Some of my risks panned out, and some of them backfired right in my face-but each one of those risks brought me to the present day. I have a happy life in the present day, complete with two wonderful kids and an amazing husband. I am healthy, my family is healthy, and we have a roof over our heads and food to eat. I can’t complain about where I’m at because where I’m at is a good place.
I have all the risks I ever took in life to thank for being in a good place, along with my courage and passion for life. Choosing a more risky path in life is a personal choice, one that is met with a little uncertainty and sometimes fear. I do not have the personality to choose the safe path in life, though this is not to say I don’t show support towards people who do.
I am a live-er of life. An adventurer. A free spirit. I am a risk taker.
The month of March is upon us, and I am participating in BlogHer’s NaBloPoMo again! Today’s writing prompt was: Do you think it’s better to play it safe or to take risks?
